We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from TubeLog.

We verify your identity to protect your data from unauthorized requests.

Your data is deleted within 30 days of verified request.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, please send an email to:

Please include the following in your request:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Your account username (if different from email)
  • Reason for deletion (optional)

What Gets Deleted

  • Account information (email, name, profile)
  • YouTube channel connections and cached data
  • Uploaded content (subtitles, images, thumbnails)
  • Usage history and analytics
  • AI chat conversations
  • Preferences and settings

What May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes:

  • Payment records (required by law for 7 years)
  • Anonymized analytics data
  • Data necessary to prevent fraud or abuse
  • Data required to comply with legal obligations

Timeline

  • Acknowledgment: Within 3 business days
  • Verification: 1-5 business days
  • Deletion: Within 30 days of verified request
  • Confirmation: Email confirmation upon completion

Important Notice

Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your content, analytics history, and any remaining credits or subscription time. Please download any data you wish to keep before submitting a deletion request.

YouTube Data: Revoke Access

You can revoke TubeLog's access to your YouTube data at any time via Google's security settings (https://myaccount.google.com/connections). Upon revocation, TubeLog will delete all stored YouTube API data associated with your account within 7 calendar days. You may also disconnect your YouTube channel directly from your TubeLog account settings, which will also trigger deletion of your stored YouTube data.

Alternative: Account Deactivation

If you're unsure about permanent deletion, you can deactivate your account instead. This will hide your profile and pause your subscription while preserving your data for potential reactivation.

To deactivate, go to Account Settings β†’ Account β†’ Deactivate Account.
