Data Deletion Policy

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This policy explains how to exercise that right and what happens when you do.

#1. Your Right to Deletion

Under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to request that TubeLog delete the personal information we hold about you. We will honor such requests subject to certain legal exceptions.

#2. What Gets Deleted

When you request full account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account credentials — email, password hash, and authentication tokens
  • Profile data — name, avatar, and account preferences
  • Connected channels — YouTube OAuth tokens and channel associations
  • Uploaded content — subtitle files, thumbnail images stored in your account
  • Generated content — AI-generated thumbnails saved in your library
  • Usage history — credit transaction records, job history
  • Payment details — billing records (note: some payment records may be retained for legal compliance)

#3. What May Be Retained

We may retain certain data after deletion where required by law or legitimate business necessity:

  • Fraud prevention records — anonymized data retained to prevent abuse
  • Legal records — invoices and transaction summaries as required by tax law (typically 5–7 years)
  • Aggregated analytics — anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics

#4. YouTube Data

If you revoke TubeLog's access to your YouTube channel via your Google account, we will:

  • Stop fetching any new data from YouTube
  • Delete cached YouTube analytics data from our systems within 30 days
  • Remove OAuth tokens immediately upon revocation

#5. How to Request Deletion

#Option A: In-App Deletion

  1. Log in to your TubeLog account
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm deletion

Your data will be scheduled for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days.

#Option B: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  • Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • A brief description of what you want deleted

We will respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

#7. Effect of Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You will lose access to all TubeLog features and data
  • Unused credits will be forfeited with no refund
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled (no partial refunds)
  • This action cannot be undone
