Connecting Channels

How to link your YouTube channels and manage them in TubeLog

Connecting Your YouTube Channels

TubeLog connects to your YouTube channels via Google OAuth. Each channel stores its own credentials, so you can link multiple channels under one TubeLog account.

#Linking Your First Channel

  1. Go to Channels in the left sidebar
  2. Click Add Channel
  3. Select your Google account in the OAuth popup
  4. Grant TubeLog the requested YouTube read permissions
  5. Wait 1–2 minutes for the initial sync to complete

What permissions does TubeLog request?

  • youtube.readonly — read channel metadata and video list
  • yt-analytics.readonly — read YouTube Analytics data
  • yt-analytics-monetary.readonly — read revenue and CPM data (optional, skip if not monetized)

#Channel Limits by Plan

| Plan | Max Channels | |------|-------------| | Free | 1 | | Starter | 3 | | Pro | 20 | | Enterprise | 100 |

#Managing Connected Channels

From the Channels page you can:

  • View sync status — see when data was last synced
  • Trigger a manual sync — click the refresh icon (subject to daily limits)
  • Disconnect a channel — removes the channel and its stored data
  • Re-sync metadata — updates channel name, avatar, and subscriber count

#Manual Sync Limits

| Plan | Manual Syncs per Day | |------|---------------------| | Free | 5 | | Starter | 10 | | Pro | 30 | | Enterprise | Unlimited |

#Initial Sync Time

After linking a channel, the initial sync fetches:

  • Channel metadata (title, description, custom URL, country, avatar)
  • All videos (up to 3,000 most recent)
  • Video statistics for the last 28 days
  • Milestones and growth history

Large channels with 1,000+ videos may take 5–10 minutes for the first sync.

#Troubleshooting

#"No YouTube channel found"

Your Google account doesn't have a YouTube channel. Create one at youtube.com/create_channel and retry.

#"Channel already connected"

This YouTube channel is linked to another TubeLog account. Contact support if you believe this is an error.

#Data looks outdated

Click the Refresh button in the channel card or wait for the next automatic daily sync at 02:30 UTC.
